About Me

My Approach

Services

My name is Adrienne.

I'm a Vancouver-based counsellor offering individual and relationship therapy. I specialize in working with LGBTTQIA+, BIPOC, and other diverse communities, drawing from my own lived experiences and professional training. My focus areas include low sexual desire, sexuality and self-esteem, sexual trauma, sexual pain, relational concerns and communication, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance or behavioural concerns.

My goals are to empower individuals like you to embrace your own superpowers and connect with all parts of self - your strengths, abilities, creativity, and desires -  to build a healthier,  more fulfilling life.

I identify as a cisgender, queer, LatinX, neurospicy, sex positive woman.  I am a sister, daughter, aunt, friend, brat and sometimes lover.  I have a history of childhood trauma, eating disorders and work through life managing my anxiety and OCD.  I am a forever student and spend way too much time trying to learn everything! When not studying, I am an avid gym-goer, foodie, taphophile, enjoy burlesque, prefer documentaries to fiction, and most recently have started taking aerial classes.  These are all parts of me, some of which I didn’t dream for myself but of which I now view as my superpowers.  With all these parts in tow, I show up authentically and transparently in our growing relationship.

I sit across from you as the perfectly, flawed human that I am with an open invitation for you to join me for an intimate conversation.  We refer to this as the “work” and while it can be challenging, I will do my best to create an environment that is safe,  full of compassion, and provide a non-judgmental environment where my great desire to know you.  I ask you to simply show up and be open to the discovery ahead.

I love stories, and I hold a deep passion for people and their stories - they are how we make sense of our world and connect with one another.

Culturally, I was exposed to storytelling in my childhood, as a way of connecting with loved ones by sharing knowledge, moments of sadness, joyful endeavours, and the earnest dreams that tomorrow would bring.

My life has been a series of unexpected endings, none of them perfect, but all of them leading me here, to this work. I embrace my insatiable curiosity to explore, understand, and appreciate your unique story, just as it is.
